Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Tamil Bible With AI app ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may NOT:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code.
• Use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.

4. Audio Bible Feature

• The Audio Bible uses your device's built-in text-to-speech (TTS) engine to read scripture aloud. Audio quality depends on the TTS voices available on your device.
• During playback, the App may keep your screen active (wake-lock) to provide an uninterrupted listening experience. This is automatically released when playback stops.
• Ad audio is muted during TTS playback to avoid conflicts with scripture reading.

5. Advertisements

• The App displays advertisements via Google AdMob, configured to comply with AdMob policies including non-child-directed treatment.
• Banner ads are displayed on quiz and home screens during normal app use.
• Interstitial ads may appear at natural break points such as between quiz levels.
• Rewarded ads are optional and shown only on your explicit request to earn in-app rewards (lives or coins).
• We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

6. Virtual Reward Economy (Coins, XP, Lives & Power-ups)

• Coins & XP are virtual rewards earned by answering quiz questions correctly. They are used solely to unlock in-app features (hints, power-ups) and cannot be transferred, sold, exchanged, or redeemed for real money or any tangible goods.
• Lives (பெலன்கள்) are a virtual play currency that limits the number of quiz sessions per time period. Lives regenerate automatically over time or can be restored by watching optional rewarded advertisements.
• Power-ups (50/50, Hint, Freeze, Shield) are virtual items that provide temporary in-game advantages. They are earned through gameplay or purchased with virtual coins.
• Level progression, stars, and badges are motivational indicators within the App and confer no rights, entitlements, or monetary value.
• We reserve the right to modify, rebalance, reset, or remove any element of the reward economy at any time without notice or compensation.
• All reward data is stored locally on your device. It may be lost if you clear app data or uninstall the App. We are not responsible for loss of virtual rewards due to device issues, data clearing, or app updates.

7. User-Generated Content & Sharing

• You are solely responsible for the content you create using the verse card editor.
• You must have the legal right to use any photos or images you select.
• You agree NOT to create or share content that is illegal, explicit, offensive, defamatory, or that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Content you save to your device gallery or share via third-party apps (WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, etc.) is governed by the respective platform's terms. The developer assumes no liability for user-shared content.
• All verse card creation and local media export happens entirely on your device.

8. Engagement Features (Streaks & Daily Challenges)

• The App tracks daily usage streak and quiz completion signals primarily on your device to support engagement features.
• Streak counts and daily quiz badges are for motivational purposes only and carry no monetary value or redeemable reward.
• Song Favourites (starred songs) are stored exclusively on your device. Favourites are not synced to a server or shared with any third party. Clearing app data or uninstalling the App will remove all saved favourites.
• Quiz questions are delivered via a locally shuffled deck stored on your device. The App fetches only the content for your next batch of questions from our servers — your progress through the deck (cursor position) is never sent to any server. Once all questions in the deck are seen, the deck is reshuffled in a new random order for the next cycle.
• We reserve the right to modify, reset, or remove engagement features at any time without notice.

9. Background Reminders

The App uses local scheduling services (including Android WorkManager where applicable) for reminders such as Daily Verse and engagement notifications. You can disable reminders at any time in App Settings or via your device's notification settings.

10. Intellectual Property

• The Tamil Bible text (Old Version, O.V.) is in the public domain.
• The Tamil Christian song lyrics included in the App belong to their respective copyright holders. They are included for personal devotional use only. Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use is prohibited.
• The App's design, branding, graphics, quiz questions, and source code are the intellectual property of OswaldStack. Unauthorized copying is prohibited.

11. In-App Features & Availability

• Features may be modified, added, or removed at any time without notice.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of AI chat or other network-dependent features.
• Daily AI chat limits (free questions and ad-based bonuses) may be adjusted at any time.
• Video export quality settings (480p, 720p, 1080p) and gallery save functionality are provided on a best-effort basis and may vary by device.
• The Songs section loads all song titles into device memory (RAM) for instant search. This is a session-only cache and does not persist between app launches.
• Quiz questions are served from a locally held, randomly shuffled question deck. Only the question content for your current batch (up to 30 questions) is fetched from our servers per quiz session, reducing network usage and ensuring variety even without an internet connection once the deck is built.

12. Data Deletion

The App does not require account creation. However, the following server-side data can be deleted upon request:

• FCM notification token — the only data stored on our servers (used for push notifications).

To request deletion, email oswaldstack@gmail.com with subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 14 days.

All local data (quiz progress, coins, XP, lives, power-ups, song favourites, reading streaks) is permanently deleted when you clear app data or uninstall the App.

The App integrates third-party services (Google AdMob, Firebase, Supabase). We are not responsible for their performance or content. Your use is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

16. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to others.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable local law. Where required, disputes are subject to the competent courts of the developer's operating jurisdiction.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
